it is time once again to divulge my vast knowledge of brisbane. today, iga elizabeth street. they sell premade food in the deli, like sandwiches and salads as well as the usual iga type stuff.

unfortunately it’s a bit hit and miss. they sell softdrinks like l&p, cherry coke and doctor pepper, of which i only drink l&p, but it’s $3 a can so i’m not inclined to buy from them. i used to go there and buy salads, but the last month or so it’s like they’re always selling yesterday’s salad rather than today’s.

2 weeks ago, i walked in and i thought i’d buy some sandwhiches. at $3 each, thats bread with meaty filling for the same price as a can of doctor pepper. i should have put 2 and 2 together and realised that this would be probably the shittest sandwich i would ever eat. the ham was.. moist.. the bread was stale.

it’s a shame the mitre 10 that used to be there closed down, at least if you bought a box of hammers from them for lunch you’d know they’d still be fresh.
